COLUMBIA, Md. (December 11, 2020) - Enterprise Community Partners congratulates U.S. Representative Marcia Fudge on her nomination to secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).

We eagerly anticipate working with Representative Fudge and supporting President-elect Biden’s bold new pledge of investing $640 billion over 10 years in quality, affordable homes. The Congresswoman’s commitment to affordable rental housing will serve HUD and America well. During her time in Congress, she has been a strong supporter of federal housing programs, such as the HOME Investment Partnerships Program and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, our nation’s most successful tool for building and preserving affordable housing.

Representative Fudge has called for addressing racial and socioeconomic disparities in disaster response, and Enterprise will work closely with her to ensure communities disproportionately impacted by Covid-19 benefit from an equitable recovery. Enterprise began working with her to anticipate and address community revitalization needs in Ohio during the foreclosure crisis, and we’re excited to build upon that partnership to help many more families nationwide.

Enterprise’s longstanding partnership with HUD is essential to addressing the nation’s most pressing challenges through the lens of home and community. The partnership is critical to supporting Enterprise’s new strategic goals of increasing housing supply, advancing racial equity and building resilience and upward mobility.
