Cynthia Sparks

VP, Asset Management and Investor Relations, Real Estate Equity

As vice president, asset management and investor relations for Enterprise Community Investment Inc., Cynthia Sparks assists in the management of the Real Estate Equity business.  Cynthia leads the business group’s reporting and interaction with investors and oversees the team of asset managers responsible for direct oversight of the Real Estate Equity portfolio.  She has been involved with this business at Enterprise since 2013.  

Cynthia joined Enterprise as a senior asset manager in 2009 in the Portland, Oregon office where she worked with some of the largest, most active partners in the Pacific Northwest and directly managed a large and diverse portfolio of properties. From 2012-2014, she served as the coordinator for underwriting partnership-related post-closing changes and coordinated the build-out of related internal systems and procedures.  Beginning in 2013, she split her time between the Housing Credit Asset Management Portfolio Performance team and the Real Estate Equity team, where she provided asset management oversight of the Real Estate Equity Funds.  In 2022, Cynthia moved over to the Real Estate Equity team full-time. 

Cynthia has over 30 years of experience in real estate management. Just prior to joining Enterprise, she worked for 2 years for a private equity fund manager, overseeing over $135 million in commercial real estate investments. Prior to that, she worked for 3 years as the owner representative for a LIHTC developer handling investor relations and managing the in-house management company providing property management and tax credit compliance oversight for over 6,200 homes. Cynthia also spent 12 years with another tax credit syndicator, where in her last position with that company she served as the head of their national asset management team. She began her real estate career with one of the largest third-party property management companies in the nation.

Cynthia is a Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P), a Housing Credit Compliance Professional (HCCP) and a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), where she has served on the board of the local chapter for many years. She graduated with honors from Portland State University with a dual bachelor’s degree in finance and human resource management.
