Shelynda Brown
As the VP of Real Estate Development at Enterprise Community Development, a division of Enterprise Community Partners, Shelynda Brown has worked in the affordable housing finance industry for over 20 years and has managed projects comprising over 3,100 units totaling over $390 million in development costs. She is responsible for leading and managing high performance teams, business development, as well as aspects of acquisitions and redevelopment projects undertaken by Enterprise Community Development. Mrs. Brown has built and sustain strong relationship with existing and potential capital providers, including lenders, equity investors, foundations and public housing finance entities. A few notable projects she led are The Rosa and The Van de Vyver in Richmond, Virginia, the newly opened Baker School Senior Apartments in Richmond, Virginia, Naples Manor in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Mayfair Mansions in Washington, D.C.
Brown received her MBA. from University of Georgia-Terry College of Business and B.S.B.A. from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her professional affiliations include Urban Land Institute on the Affordable Workforce Housing Product Council, Women of Color in Community Development as vice president, African American Real Estate Professionals, and Housing Association of Non- Profit Developers (HAND).
