New York, NY (August 5, 2020) – Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. (Enterprise) today announced the appointment of Pamela Green to the Enterprise New York Advisory Board. A longtime resident of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, Pamela most recently served as executive director of the Weeksville Heritage Center, a multidisciplinary museum dedicated to preserving the history of the 19th-century free African American community of Weeksville, Brooklyn. 

“Pamela has a rich background in nonprofit management and a proven track record of elevating important causes like childhood education, emergency food relief, and entrepreneurship in communities of color,” said Judi Kende, vice president and NY market Leader, Enterprise Community Partners. “We are excited to welcome her to the team and know that her thoughtful, community-centered perspective will be instrumental in furthering Enterprise’s work to expand affordable housing in New York.”

As executive director of the Weeksville Heritage Center, Pamela, now retired, played a key role in managing and expanding the historic African American preservation and education organization. During her tenure from 2001 to 2017, she oversaw the renovation of the Historic Hunterfly Road Houses, a critical remnant of the 19th-century Weeksville community; stimulated a major increase in revenue sources, doubling the center’s budget over time; and developed innovative strategies and successfully fundraised for a new Education and Cultural Arts Building.

Previously, Pamela was Vice President, Outreach and Strategic Partnerships, at Sesame Workshop, where she created and managed corporate public service initiatives that extended the reach and impact of Sesame Workshop properties globally. She also was Deputy Commissioner, Agency for Child Development, at the Human Resources Administration, and the Executive Director of Food for Survival, Inc. in New York. Earlier in her career, she was Assistant Vice President at the First National Bank of Chicago, where she developed new business and provided financing packages and marketing to minority businesses, as well as commercial real estate developers, small- and medium-sized Chicago firms, and middle-market New York firms. 
She graduated from Fisk University with a B.A. in Mathematics and the University of Chicago with an M.B.A in Finance.
