Enterprise’s California offices are launching a statewide public sector cohort on small to medium multifamily (SMMF) preservation in the first quarter of 2025. Through this Request for Applications (RFA), we are seeking up to 25 cohort participants from various levels of government with a strong desire to create preservation solutions.

Cohort members will join a series of virtual and in-person trainings and peer learning sessions designed to support public sector partners as they

  • Design and implement their acquisition/rehabilitation preservation programs
  • Secure dedicated funding sources
  • Pursue public policies to stabilize unsubsidized SMMF rental properties and the residents and communities that depend on this housing stock

The cohort will span over a 15-month period and requires a commitment of approximately 2-4 hours per month. Applicants should be able to send at least one dedicated staff member to all sessions to maintain cohesion and may bring additional staff members, as needed.

Cohort members will receive training and peer-learning sessions, including:

  • Six bi-monthly sessions primarily delivered in a closed-session virtual format. Please note certain segments of webinars may be made publicly available.
  • Local peer-learning and networking opportunities, including two regional in-person
  • Convenings (one in each Enterprise market location - Northern California and Southern California)
  • Resources, tools, and guidance to support small to medium multifamily preservation goals, activities, and projects

Access the RFA to learn more about organizational eligibility, participation requirements, and evaluation criteria. If you have any questions about the RFA process, contact Dominique Veasey-Hall.

Applications must be submitted electronically on SlideRoom by 11:59 p.m. PST on December 6, 2024.
