Last month, Alemseged Desta addressed a crowd of hundreds spilling out from under a canopy tent, all there to celebrate two important milestones: the ribbon cutting for the redeveloped Legacy at Twin Rivers, a mixed-income, multifamily community in Columbia, Maryland – the city Enterprise founder Jim Rouse created – and Enterprise’s creation of one million homes. This theme of legacy—of community, continuity, and commitment—was embraced in the naming of Desta’s new home, and by everyone gathered for the occasion.

After retiring, Darlene Hamilton is ready to start college later this summer, thanks to a lot of determination and a little help from the Resident Services team at Enterprise.
