Although we do not provide search and placement services for affordable housing, or make loans or grants directly to individuals, we are pleased to share the following resources:

• See if your area offers a 211 phone center for housing assistance.
• Contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 
• Contact your local and state members of Congress. Your local library can help you find their names and addresses. Or search the Common Cause Directory.
• Many communities have local groups that create and manage affordable housing, often called community development organizations or community-based organizations. Your local library can help you locate these groups.
• The internet also has many resources, such as Socialserve.com and Affordable Housing Online. These websites offer links to affordable rental and for-sale housing in several U.S. cities.
