Alexander Miles

Senior Florida Program Director, State and Local Policy

Alexander Miles serves as the Senior Florida Program Director of State and Local Policy for Enterprise Community Partners, where he leads efforts to enhance access to affordable housing through strategic engagement with local communities, government officials, and business leaders. A Miami native, Alex's work focuses heavily on Miami-Dade County, as well as state government initiatives in Tallahassee. His efforts are integral to Enterprise’s mission of creating sustainable communities across the Southeast Market.
 
With nearly 15 years of experience in and around government and non-profits, Alex brings extensive expertise in public and community relations, media engagement, emergency management, and crisis communication. His professional background encompasses significant roles in both sectors, where he has successfully managed public affairs strategies that advance organizational objectives.
 
Before joining Enterprise, Alex was the Head of Press, Politics & Public Affairs at the British Consulate-General in Miami, where he provided high-value political guidance and promoted US-UK relations across Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. His tenure included facilitating a trade Memorandum of Understanding between the UK and Florida, as well as leading crisis communications during critical situations such as hurricanes and the pandemic.
 
Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a major in International Relations, from Clemson University, where he graduated cum laude. His professional affiliations include memberships in Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
