State of California agencies recently released the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Round 7 draft guidelines as well as associated materials including a change log and updated greenhouse gases reduction methodology. All materials can be found on the Strategic Growth Council’s AHSC guidelines webpage.
This year’s guidelines include significant proposed changes across all areas of the program. We strongly encourage interested parties to closely review the draft guidelines and submit public comments on issues of importance to their organization. Comments are due by 5 p.m. PT on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.
AHSC Program staff will also be holding Public Workshops to share more about the AHSC Program and discuss Round 7 guideline changes. The AHSC team will host a virtual workshop as well as in-person meetings in Davis, Fresno and San Diego in late October. These workshops will provide a chance for any interested party to learn about the program and provide feedback on the proposed changes in Round 7 guidelines. Find out more about the events and register.
AHSC Round 7 guidelines are anticipated to be finalized in December and an estimated $750 million is expected to be made available in a notice of funding availability this January. Applications for AHSC Round 7 are anticipated to be due in March 2023 with awards in late summer.
