From Wisconsin to Wyoming to Oklahoma to South Dakota, our Tribal Nations team recently partnered with Native American organizations to advance economic development, homeownership, resilience, and coalition work.

We were a large sponsor at an important inaugural conference held by the Wisconsin Indigenous Housing Economic Development Corporation (WIHEDC) in Bowler. At their economic development conference in November, Enterprise Program Officer Jeremiah Powless presented during the Wisconsin Native Homeownership Coalition and Housing Initiatives session, where he provided insight on the resources available to the group. The coalition will operate under WIHEDC to support the 11 federally recognized tribes in the state on housing initiatives.

At HUD’s Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) conference in Oklahoma City, Powless spoke on a tribal housing panel to lend insights on collaboration work. Our Tribals Nation team also presented at two additional breakout sessions on tribal housing coalition work and engaging partnerships.

We recently visited the Eastern Shoshone Housing Authority in Wyoming to learn about current housing projects and clean energy assessment work to support 2025 construction projects, including the Wind River Site.

At an International Code Council (ICC) Native American Code Official (NACO) Chapter event last month, Enterprise provided continuing support to assist southwest Tribes to become NACO members. Discussions addressed 2025 planning of ICC building code training opportunities and how to support other tribal housing coalitions interested in ICC Building Code training and adoption.
