Our Southern California team recently partnered with Abode Communities for our Rouse Day of Service, and we added two new team members to advance our work in capital solutions, partnerships, and sustainable communities.

Rouse Day of Service

In November, we partnered with Abode Communities to provide holiday festivities to residents at The Clark in Westlake.

Our Rouse Day of Service at The Clark included serving a Thanksgiving meal, providing arts and crafts, creating holiday cards for the residents, and even playing a serious game or two of chess. We thank the staff at Abode Communities for the opportunity to work with their resident services team, which made it a special day for everyone involved.

Originally built in 1913 as a YWCA home for young working women, The Clark is a single-room occupancy property that provides homes to 152 residents. The building has been designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Welcome to Our New Team Members

We are pleased to welcome Dominique Veasey-Hall as a program director on our Capital Solutions and Partnerships team, and Sydney Smanpongse as a Sustainable Connected Communities program fellow.
