Services in Housing: An Opportunity to Strengthen America's Public Health Infrastructure is a series of issue briefs that examine the role that housing-based services play in our public health infrastructure.

People spend nearly 90 percent of their time inside, making indoor air quality central to health and well-being. Low-income populations are disproportionally affected by a range of illnesses and adverse health effects that can be exacerbated by poor indoor air quality, and improvements to the indoor environment can be an important mechanism to address health disparities.

This health indicators template is intended to guide the public health professional on a set of “go-to” indicators for the secondary data analysis step of the Health Action Plan (HAP).
