Enterprise’s Rural Communities provides funding and training along with technical assistance to organizations to help create healthy, safe, green affordable homes and to increase opportunities for economic advancement for individuals and families in rural communities.
Despite centuries-long systemic barriers, Native communities are using the power of self-determination and a good home to turn poverty into pride and displacement to belonging. We’ve stood beside and behind Native communities, delivering $350 million to create or preserve 6,800 homes since 1997.
Racial equity is at the center of our work. It’s how we dismantle the legacy of systematic racism in housing and close the growing racial wealth gap in America.
Together with partners and funders, we’ve helped create or preserve 25,100 affordable homes for families by leveraging over $2.2 billion in capital across the state.
Our Detroit work focuses on leveraging those assets with capital, programs and policy to advance racial equity and preserve affordable homes. We’ve helped create or preserve over 20,200 homes by leveraging $797 million in capital across the region.
Enterprise began working in the Gulf Coast shortly after the 2005 hurricanes and resulting flooding devastated the region. Together with partners and funders, we’ve helped create or preserve homes for more than 100,000 homes across the region.
On May 28, the White House released the President’s full Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 budget request, following its initial ‘skinny’ budget proposal in April.
