Together with partners and funders, we’ve helped create or preserve 49,800 affordable homes by leveraging $3.5 billion in capital throughout Washington and Oregon.

Some of our key programs include:

  • Home and Hope: Facilitates the development of affordable homes and early learning centers on underutilized, tax-exempt sites owned by public agencies and nonprofits
  • Washington Early Learning Loan Fund: Provides real estate, small business and start-up loans, along with technical assistance grants, to nurture the growth of early learning facilities
  • Regional Equitable Development Initiative Fund: Provides $21 million in low-interest financing to acquire property in transit-accessible areas in Washington’s King, Snohomish and Pierce counties to preserve and create affordable homes
  • State and local policy: Advocates for affordable homes and community development in the Pacific Northwest

A Place to Call Home

Northaven Senior Living
We are proud to partner with Refugee Women’s Alliance (ReWa) on a new, 8,500-square-foot early learning facility in Seattle's Northgate neighhorhood. ReWA is creating intergenerational educational opportunities at Northaven Senior Living with the support of a King County Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Account (PSTAA) grant. Managed by our Pacific Northwest team, PSTAA's Early Learning Facilities Fund supports expanding and creating early education centers in underserved communities.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Ballard
Through our Home and Hope program, we provided support to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church's recent housing development in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. These 84 affordable homes highlight the huge potential of houses of worship to leverage underutilized land to develop much-needed homes. This project is made possible by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, BRIDGE Housing Corporation, and many others.
