For more than 42 years, we have advanced and supported community-driven solutions, and we see community ownership as essential for equitable development. Together with our partners, we support community ownership and shared-equity models around the country to promote affordable home preservation, community stabilization, and wealth building.

Developing a county’s first-ever housing plan

Prince George’s County in Maryland — just outside of Washington, D.C. — is home to a diverse mix of residents in urban, suburban, and rural neighborhoods. We partnered with the county to develop their first-ever comprehensive housing plan with clear actions for the production and preservation of homes and advancement of upward mobility. Our partnership with the county advanced crucial community conversations around zoning, tenant rights, and additional funding for affordable homes. For more details, read the county's plan.
