NMTC investment to help create affordable homes for purchase in Atlanta

Atlanta’s historic Grove Park, well-known for its many neighborhood clubs, was once a prosperous community for Black families and businesses in the West Side. However, decades of discriminatory divestment eventually led to the neighborhood’s economic collapse, resulting in population decreases and school closures. Today, Grove Park has no supermarket and no pharmacy.

With commitments from 10 investors, Enterprise Housing Partners Fund XXXV will help create or preserve 2,529 affordable homes across 19 properties in 14 states.

As Atlanta continues to expand and the need for housing grows, preservation must remain a central part of the strategy to ensure that housing can remain affordable for everyone.
