Power Forward Communities, a coalition Enterprise co-leads with some of the country’s most trusted community development, climate, and housing organizations, is purpose-built to decarbonize America’s homes and drive a market transformation that cuts costs, benefits renters and homeowners, and specifically focuses on low-income communities nationwide.

On Tuesday April 2nd, we kicked off the Midwest Climate Resilience Academy with a cohort of 20 affordable housing organizations from across Illinois and Michigan.

Today, Power Forward Communities, a coalition of some of the country’s most trusted housing, climate, and community investment groups, was awarded a $2 billion, seven-year National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide capital for affordable residential decarbonization throughout the country, with a specific focus on low-income and disadvantaged communities.

The Make It Home program will allow renters living in forfeited properties to buy and repair the structures by tapping free legal guidance and grants.

Enterprise, Rocket Community Fund, the City of Cleveland, and Cuyahoga Land Bank announced the Make It Home Cleveland program, which will enable approximately 50 households living in tax forfeited properties to purchase and repair their homes.

Enterprise Ohio is making one last push to connect as many families and individuals to free tax services as possible through the Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition, part of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Enterprise is seeking an Insurance Policy Consultant to provide expert analysis on the factors driving the increasing cost of insurance for affordable housing and identifying implementable policy, program, and/or financial product responses to lower insurance costs for housing operators.

Enterprise announces its sixth Climate Resilience Academy in the Midwest. Applications are due by March 15, 2024.
